My Daily Show Conversation with Jon Stewart
Some hopeful ideas for how to rebuild after Trump's economic chaos
Last night I went on the Daily Show to talk with Jon Stewart about how Marketcrafters can help us make sense of the economic challenges of this moment — and how the book points a way forward for Democrats. Jon had actually read the book (!!), which made the whole conversation so fun and substantive. Take a look:

If there’s one message that I’m trying to hammer home, it’s that we can’t go back to the fantasy of self-regulating markets. On the other side of Trump’s damage, we will have to use our power to guide and harness markets to make Americans richer, safer, and more financially stable. There is a practical way forward, if we learn the lessons of what worked in the past.
I’ve also been on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Morning Joe, and a half dozen podcasts, including Organized Money and Odd Lots (dropping this weekend).
Thank you to everyone who has already purchased a copy of the book. Please consider writing a review on Amazon! And if the spirit moves you, feel free to repost on X the Daily Show clip.
This newsletter will return to its broader focus (and not just the book!) next week.
Thank you!
I ordered your book from the library, your conversation with Stewart on the Daily Show made it sound interesting and understandable. BTW, I and several others noticed that Comcast and Direct TV blacked out the channel during Stewart’s monologue. I guess it’s part of Paramounts suck up to Trump ahead of a hoped for sale.
